SIGNED Green Hand
Painted Porcelain Vase w/ Pink Flowers and Ornate Gilt Rim ~ This very
pretty vase measures about 11" tall and 5.5" across the widest part of the
middle. The bottom half is a lighter green with a textured (raised)
finish. The top portion is hand painted with pink flowers (roses, I
think) and lots of greenery. The top, middle and bottom have gold
bands. The top gold band is the widest, and has a raised hatch-mark
pattern. The bottom has an impressed mark that looks like 65555 III.
There is also a black mark under glaze that appears to be a shield and
maybe a lion, but I can't be sure. My guess would be that this vase
is of European origin. The artist signed the piece in the roses --
it reads "Annette '77". It could be the date 1877, but I'm more
inclined to think it was 1977, as I don't think the vase is over 120 years
old. Anyway.... it is very pretty, and in great condition with no
chips or cracks. There is a tiny black smudge in the finish on the
outside (might come off) and some dirt/water stains inside from use.
Overall, a super piece! |

Czechoslovakian Royal Dux Boy
w/
Puppy Figurine ~ Adorable Royal Dux Czechoslovakia figurine of a boy
carrying a fabric sack over his shoulder on a stick. The sack in
the back shows the head and face of the puppy he carries inside.
The figurine is 6" tall and in great condition, with the exception
of a small piece of porcelain broken off the end of the stick in his
left hand (see photo). This flaw is not easily noticed, and could
be repainted to make it virtually unnoticeable. E-mail us if you would
like to see a photo of the back with the puppy. We are offering
this cute Czech porcelain figure at a significant reduction to
compensate for the flaw noted..... he would be worth much more in mint condition! |

Vintage Unmarked Ceramic Brown Horse Head
Vase ~ This is a nice quality heavy piece that may be California made
pottery. It measures 6" high by 5" wide from nose to
mane. There are no makers marks, so exact manufacture and date are
not known. The outside is in beautiful condition with no chips or
cracks, with only some tight light crazing in the glaze. The inside
is crazed and has dirt staining in the crazed areas. There is one
line inside that may be a hairline as it extends up to the rim, but I'm
not sure. It cannot be seen on the outside. A nice item for
the head vase or horse figure collector! |

Pikes Peak Colorado Hand Painted Cup & Saucer
~ Very nice vintage demitasse cup & saucer set featuring a hand
painted scene of Pike's Peak, a 14,000+ foot high mountain in the Colorado
Rockies just outside Colorado Springs. The cup is 2" high and
the saucer is about 4" in diameter. The bottom of both pieces
is marked "Hand Painted Enco NYC Made in Japan" in green.
I did not find any chips or cracks, and the painted design is in excellent
condition. The bottom of the cup rim is a bit rough and uneven -- a
manufacturing flaw as it was that way before the glaze was applied. |

plate with a colonial looking couple in the center, surrounded by a flower

hand painted embellishments. No cracks, although it has two small chips on the back of

Antique French Limoges Game Bird Plate #8
~ Beautiful early 1900's handpainted Limoges game bird plate entirely hand painted and signed by one artist
(Muville), in exceptional condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or evidence of repairs. Eleven matching plates are available.... buyers can choose any quantity. Our price is only $150 per plate, although the 1996 Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain (2nd Edition) lists an average book value of $250 to $400
EACH for similar game plates. Each plate features a different flying and/or standing bird scene -- they appear to be quail, ducks (mallards), pheasants, geese and/or sandpipers. Each plate measures 9.5" in diameter with a 7/8" ornate scalloped gold rim. All plates from this set are double marked with underglaze green Limoges France and star
(Kovels #153G) Latrille Freres Mark #1 (factory), and a red overglaze (decorator mark)
Lazeyras, Rosenfeld, and Lehman Mark #3 (Encyclopedia of Limoges by M. Gaston). They were fired between 1899 and 1913, and painted no later than 1922. Both companies were contemporary to Haviland from the Limoges region of France. All plates have a very minor degree of rubbing/swirls in the gold rim from handling and/or age.
No other apparent flaws. Shipping is $8 for the first plate, and $2 for each additional plate.
